Fun Things to Do in September
With the end of summer supposedly on its way, the heat will still not let up! But that doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun in the warm Arizona sun! Here are some fun things to do in the Valley during the month of September.
Brazilian Day Arizona
You don’t have to be Brazilian to enjoy the Brazilian Day Arizona. The largest Brazilian Independence Day celebration in all of Arizona, this event is perfect for the whole family featuring musicians, singers, dancers, DJs, capoeiristas, and more. The event is being held at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Saturday, September 6th.
Movie Night in the Park: Toughest Desert Animals
Join the rangers of the Usery Mountain Regional Park to view the Nat Geo film Toughest Desert Animals. This fun film features roadrunners, rattlesnakes, and footage filmed here in Mesa Arizona. Due to some light animal-on-animal violence, this might not be the best film for very young children. This event is being held at the Usery Mountain Regional Park Friday, Sept 5th at 7 p.m.
One Direction
Perhaps the biggest boy band since Justin Timberlake helmed N’Sync One Direction has been taking America by storm. Tickets are still available for the Sept. 16th concert at the University of Phoenix Stadium but grab them up quick because this promises to be the concert of the year!
Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival
Mickey Mouse and the whole Disney crew will be performing hits from the top Disney films like Aladdin, Little Mermaid, and The Lion King. These tunes have been given a modern twist and have been adapted into rock, reggae, and country remixes.
